MATIAS ROMERO ZAPIOLA was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 22, 1958 and graduated as a lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires in 1983. Later, he continued his studies in L'Etoile, France.
In 1992 he founded Romero Zapiola, Clusellas Law Firm and since then has focused on the practice of customs law, international law and transnational operations.
During all these years, he has provided comprehensive advice to several national and international companies such as Nike Argentina SRL, Sony Argentina SA, Peugeot Citroen Argentina SA, Crown Packaging de Argentina, Dow Química Argentina SA, Webcor Argentina SA, among others, on corporate, commercial, import and export matters, customs duties, temporary imports, para-tariff measures, anti-dumping, countervailing and safeguard measures.
He participated in the UNDP Commission in charge of the international harmonization of customs standards in 1996.
He has also represented international firms in commercial transactions in Brazil, Uruguay and Chile on several occasions where he was in charge of one of the largest real estate ventures in Brazil together with the firm J. Lang Lasalle.
