HERNÁN CANCELLIERI was born in Entre Ríos, Argentina, on June 16, 1975. He graduated as a lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) in 2001. During 2002-2003 he attended a post-graduate course in Customs Law at the University of Buenos Aires and worked for the Argentine Tax Court.
In 2003, he started working as an associate at Romero Zapiola & Clusellas law firm, specializing in customs law, import and export regulations, administrative and judicial procedures, exchange controls, and administrative and judicial procedures in foreign exchange matters. In 2006, he started working as Professor of Customs Law (Exports) at Instituto de Capacitación Aduanera (ICA).
In 2009 he was appointed partner of Romero Zapiola, Clusellas & Sluga and since then has dedicated himself to representing the firm's main clients before agencies such as the Argentine Central Bank, the Tax Court, the Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court.
He is the author of numerous publications on customs and foreign exchange matters, including: " La Prescripción en Materia de Infracciones Aduaneras. Una necesaria Reforma al Código Aduanero" (AduanasNews, 07/01/2009), "Consideraciones acerca del alcance del art. 954, apartado 1, inc. c, del Código Aduanero" (Guía Práctica de Comercio Exterior del 12/31/2012, Ed. 228), “Problemática respecto de actuales imputaciones por infracción de Declaración inexacta prevista en el Apartado 1 Inciso c) del Artículo 954 del C.A. efectuadas por el Servicio Aduanero en destinaciones de importación para consumo cuando actúa un tercer operador” (Practical Guide to Foreign Trade, February 15, 2017).
